It has been one year since I have started this blog!!! I should have a little party for it, with cake and ice cream, maybe some balloons...... yeah.
The years go by so fast. I can't believe that I have been here at my job for two years and that I have been here at Jasper for that time also. It doesn't seem possible. In no time at all I will be old and gray sitting on my porch watching my grand kids play in the yard. I wonder what life will be like when I am that old. Will we finally have flying cars??? It is impossible to imagine right now.

Wow
It feels like forever since I have posted anything. I hadn't written in my journal for a couple of months so I started writing in it. By doing that I stopped writing on my blog. I guess I can't do both at once.
It was our 6 month anniversary on Saturday, so we went to Evansville and went shopping. Something we never do. It was nice. I haven't bought any clothes since the day after Thanksgiving sales, and it was only an undershirt and a pair of pants.
Easter was good. Stephen hid eggs around the house and I had to find them. Next year I will do the hiding and he will do the finding. Then we went over to my parents for dinner. It was a nice day.
That's about all that has been going on. Nothing special.

April Fools Day
Last year on this day my car broke down in a 4 way stop while I was on my way home for lunch. I called my house because I knew my dad would be there for lunch. My mom answered and when I told her that my car died, she thought I was telling an April Fools Joke. It took me yelling at her for her to even think about believing. Even then I don't think she believed me totally. I was mad. Thinking about it is making me mad.
No one has tried to play an April Fools Joke on me today. The day is not over though, Stephen could still have something up his sleeve.... I was going to play a joke on him and tell him that I was pregnant, but he told me not to ever tell him that if it wasn't true, so I decided not to play any kind of joke on him. That was always the joke I would play on my mom, I would say "Mom, (at this point I would take a deep breath) I am pregnant" then she would say to me, "No your not" She never did believe me. When the day comes that I really am, I am sure she won't believe me either. I guess that's what comes for always crying wolf.
My mom once did that to my dad. She called him on April Fools Day and told him that she was pregnant. He was really excited and he started to tell people at work. Then my mom called him again later that same day and told him it was an April Fools Joke. He was really mad. What both of them didn't know at the time, was that it was true. My mom was really pregnant. Nine months later to the day December 1, Melanie was born.
