Letters to the Soul
New path, New state, New place
Run away from memories that won't erase
They follow behind, can not escape
Sewn up is the mouth
Chosen not to embellish in
Slate wiped clean of doubt
Old worries, Old pain, Old ties
Blood on your hand, someone has died
It eats away knowing she wept
Hate song sooth the heart
Long road not long enough
Many times busted apart
New lessons, New fears, New past
Body enveloped beneath a rock cast
Never able to believe again
Not only a burnt bridge
Open wound, unable to heal
But also a crumbling village
Old cares, Old tears, Old news
The spirit has given up the ghost
Living no more by the cues
